TULIX SYSTEMS, INC. ONLINE WITH COMMUNITY
ATLANTA - June 15, 2004. Tulix Systems, Inc, internet solutions and hosting provider, announced today the completion of its purchase of HomeCom, Inc.'s internet-related assets. In the deal, Tulix acquired HomeCom's, Atlanta-based network operations center and its customers. Later this month the company will launch its flagship Web-publishing platform known as "Community."
According to Tulix CEO George Bokuchava, "We are developing applications for Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The purpose of the products is to help them be more competitive and to supplement their customer retention efforts. Community was developed specifically for cable modem, DSL and dial-up service providers offering communication and commerce features to subscribers."
According to Tulix's VP Sales and Marketing, Paul Flack," Building online Web pages is not new, however, Community, features many enhancements that only the top-tier providers offer. Smaller ISP's subscribers can use Community to create and publish 1 GB web sites which can include photo albums, image, music and video galleries. Users also can put items in a complete online store with a shopping cart or participate in buying or selling in real-time auctions.
Since each user is connected to group of company-specific subscribers in a particular geographic area, a natural virtual community is spawned. Relationships within the community are enhanced because the platform offers a full array of communications options including email, chat, message boards and weblogs. The package also allows for sub-accounts so one owner can have many websites. For example, families can set up pages with each member having a series of pages or church groups can set up web sites offering pages for each member."
Priced competitively at about $1 per month per user, with free installation, customization and start-up Community offers ISP's a virtual meeting place for subscribers, increases customer loyalty and reduces industry churn.
In addition to Community Tulix Systems, Inc. offers, customized hosting services, internet development and other web publishing platforms
